Oakajee Port and Rail was established in September 2007, and is seeking to develop the Oakajee port and rail infrastructure to service Western Australia’s mid-west mining industry and other users. OPR is jointly owned by Murchison Metals Ltd and Mitsubishi Development PTY Ltd.
CEO Christopher Eves and executives from Murchison and Mitsubishi Development Corporation hosted a function in Geraldton on 18 December 2007 to meet members of the community and outline their vision for a transport business servicing the mid-west.
