Murchison Shire Facilites Opening - 16 July 2010

OPR’s port and rail project has a footprint across 7 local government areas including the Shire of Murchison which celebrated the opening of the airstrip, caravan park, motel, stores shed and roadhouse at a community event on 16 July. OPR was pleased to participate in the event.

Residents, both past and present of Murchison shire, and visitors, enjoyed a day of celebration at the Murchison settlement on 16 July to mark the opening of new facilities.
 

Cue Parliament - 7 May 2010

The Cue Parliament (WALGA Murchison Country Zone meeting) held on 7 May provides an opportunity for OPR to engage with shire, government, industry and community representatives to discuss project development, proposals and issues or concerns.

    
The first guests arrive in the beer garden of the Murchison Club Hotel in Cue on 6 May for a community and industry sun-downer, hosted by OPR.

OPR Sundowner - 4 February 2010

About 80 local business and community leaders from the mid-west attended OPR’s community sundowner on February 4. During the sundowner OPR announced that it will continue as a major sponsor of the Great Northern Football League (GNFL).

OPR Reception in the Presence of the Premier - 19 June 2009

Hon Colin Barnett attended a Reception at the OPR's Mid-West Community Office on 19 June 2009. At this function the Premier announced details of the OPR Curtain Raiser match  between the Clontarf Foundation’s Midwest Football Academy and Albany’s Great Southern.

OPR Mid-West Community Office Opening Event - 14 April 2009

The OPR Mid-West Community Office in Geraldton was officially opened on 14 April at a sun-downer event. More than 70 guest attended.
